Center for Perinatal Medicine
This Center offers nationally recognized expertise and innovation in perinatology, obstetrics, radiology and pediatrics. High-risk mothers can receive diagnostic sonography, fetal heart rate monitoring, interventional procedures or genetics counseling. High-Risk Perinatal Unit
Northside Hospital-Atlanta offers a 34-bed high-risk perinatal unit where all caregivers specialize in high-risk and multiple pregnancies. High-tech equipment monitors mothers and babies. Special features such as music/relaxation classes, certified pet visitation, and boredom busters help to ease bed-rest stays.
Special-Care Nurseries
Northside Hospital-Atlanta offers a Level III Nursery and Northside Hospital - Forsyth and Northside Hospital-Cherokee offer a Level II Nursery for babies who require out-of-the-ordinary attention. Each year Northside cares for more than 1,500 special babies, which provides insight and experience in understanding both the medical and emotional needs of babies and parents.
